It is now possible to recharge your electric car thanks to valet parking at airports

This is what the company Ector offers with up to 1,700 parking spaces available at Orly and Roissy airports through a valet service.

It’s the eternal question when heading to the airports. Should I prioritize public transportation, taxis or VTCs, or even my own car, risking long waits before finding a spot in parking lots? Not to mention that electric car owners additionally have to consider charging.

To try to address all these issues, the company Ector offers an innovative solution. Through a community of 300 valets, Ector allows drivers to retrieve their keys upon arrival at the drop-off zone and to park their car in outdoor lots, on their behalf. According to the company, over 100,000 travelers have already used this service in France and across Europe.

1,700 available spaces for Parisian airports

In response to the rise of electric vehicles and the shortcomings in charging stations, Ector is taking it further by offering to charge your electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle during your trips at Orly and Roissy. By 2023, there will be over 700 charging-enabled spaces at Orly and up to 1,000 charging-enabled spaces at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle available.

To do this, Ector has partnered with the Italian company E-GAP, to offer a mobile charging system near airports. E-GAP’s 100% electric vans are equipped with an ultra-fast charging station to recharge vehicles parked in Ector lots.

Ector commits to recharging 80% of its clients’ batteries.

This service, available at Orly and Roissy airports, will also be accessible at other airports across France.
