Electric Scooter: Piaggio 1 at €2,600 Without Bonus

Piaggio’s small electric scooter is on sale until the end of March. All versions are affected.

Piaggio reduces the price of its electric scooter by €250. This discount is part of a promotional offer, which will end on March 31, 2023. It is added to the government bonus for purchasing a new electric two-wheeler. For this scooter, the aid amount varies depending on the version chosen. The entry-level and the 1+ are eligible for the €100 bonus granted to electric scooters with a power less than 2 kW. With its 2 kW motor, the Piaggio 1 Active qualifies for a larger bonus of €570.

Note that the promotion only concerns the 2022 model year of the scooter. On the Piaggio 1 2023, which benefits from minor improvements, the Italian company makes no gesture.

Piaggio 1, an accessible electric scooter with or without 125 cc training

The Piaggio 1 and 1+ are limited to 45 km/h and are therefore accessible without a license. The difference between these two versions lies in the range. With its 2.3 kWh battery, the 1+ is more enduring. According to the WMTC homologation cycle, it can travel 68 km on a full charge, 25 km more than the Piaggio 1 “standard”.

The Active version is considered equivalent to a 125 cc. Therefore, a 7-hour training course must be completed to ride it. Slightly faster with a top speed of 60 km/h, it features a combined braking system, equipment absent from the rest of the range. The Piaggio 1 Active retains the 2.3 kWh battery, which provides a theoretical range of 66 km.
