New Bike Release: Tenways AGO X (Video)

Looking for a new, sturdy and versatile electric bike? The Dutch bicycle specialist, based in Amsterdam, introduces its new Tenways AGO X.

More than with automobiles, the rising popularity of electric technology has created many new players in the so-called gentle mobility sector, notably with novel brands of scooters and bicycles. Still little known on the French market, the Dutch company Tenways was launched after a crowdfunding campaign initiated in 2021.

In Mobiwisy’s articles, we have already discussed this new manufacturer, especially when the Tenways CGO600 Pro was released. A simple and efficient model as its designers mentioned, but also equipped with a sturdy battery aimed at bike commuters. With a capacity of 10 Ah and 360 Wh, it offers 100 km in ECO mode according to Tenways, while the mechanics are proven, namely a rear Mivice M070 motor with a torque of 35 Nm.

To support this promising model, Tenways now unveils the AGO X. Unlike the CGO600 Pro, this one is intended to be more versatile. In other words, it is suitable for both city riding and countryside, with increased robustness.

A Generous Torque

For this, the technical specifications are somewhat different. The Tenways AGO X features a central electric motor signed by Bafang M410, with a significant torque value of 80 Nm. The goal? An essential push on steep roads. For responsive gear shifts, Tenways partners with Shimano, with a 10-speed transmission, while braking is handled by hydraulic disc brakes from the same brand.

Exactly, to better handle rugged terrains, it is equipped with 29-inch wheels, paired with puncture-proof tires. This allows riding with more peace of mind. The comfort of the rider’s back is also ensured by a suspended SR Suntour fork.

A Classic but Sufficient Range

As for range, there are no surprises. The 504 Wh battery allows for a classic 100 km of autonomy in ECO mode. Good news, the battery is removable.

Finally, Tenways was honest about the weight of its latest model: 29 kilograms empty. Fairly heavy, but by contrast, the maximum load capacity is set at 125 kg.

The price of the Tenways AGO X is set at €2,399 and it is available in three colors: ocean blue, silver, and midnight black.
