eVTOL Honda

Honda has unveiled its very first four-seater eVTOL. A new mode of transportation that will be operational in the near future.

Last June, the Bourget Air Show took place, where eVTOLs were shown to the general public for the first time, an opportunity for manufacturers to showcase the future of aerial mobility. Today, it’s Honda’s turn to highlight its eVTOL.

The goal of urban transport

For the Japanese company, its goal is simple: to create an intercity transport system—a means that will allow residents to travel from city to city. To accomplish this, Honda relies on a variety of technologies, including the following: electrification, combustion, aerodynamics. Regarding the movement of the eVTOL, it will be powered by a hybrid propulsion system.

An airy cabin

As seen in the photos, the interior will be equipped with five seats: four for the passengers and one for the pilot, who will have a large dashboard in front of them to take command of the eVTOL. A long and wide window runs around the entire cabin, allowing light to enter the aircraft.

The Japanese manufacturer hasn’t provided further details about its very first eVTOL; no release date, power, or autonomy has been announced. More information is expected in the coming months at the latest. The Japanese firm also took the opportunity to announce two other vehicles.
