Bison Futé forecasts a black Saturday for departures

Travel conditions will be “extremely difficult” this weekend. Bison Futé forecasts a red level in the departure direction this Friday and a black level tomorrow.

Expect a more complicated weekend; Bison Futé predicts traffic in red and black zones, but Stendhal or Jeanne Mas will not be there to accompany you on the roads. Saturday is expected to be the “most complicated” day of summer according to Bison Futé.

A already difficult Friday

Patience will be needed on the roads this Friday. Bison Futé indicates red in the departure direction across France. It would be best to leave Île-de-France before 12 p.m.; the most used highways are the A10, A7, and A63, announces Bison Futé. In the return direction, only the PACA region is classified as having difficult traffic.

A Black Saturday

Saturday will be the most challenging day for holidaymakers. Bison Futé classifies this day as black in the departure direction. It is advised by the site not to travel on the main highways in the afternoon. Bison Futé warns that “From early morning, the A7, A9, A10, A61, A71, and A75 motorways will be heavily used by motorists.”

In the return direction, traffic will be very different, with only some difficulties expected around the A75 and near Clermont-Ferrand.

A Calm Sunday

Sunday will be the opposite of what drivers experienced on Friday and Saturday. Bison Futé anticipates some difficulties, but not as severe as the previous days. The A10 and A7 will be the most affected routes. No difficulties are expected in the return direction.
