Bison Futé predicts difficult driving conditions this weekend

For this holiday departure weekend, Bison Futé predicts difficult traffic conditions in the departure direction on Saturday. 

Last weekend was the most complicated of the summer according to Bison Futé. This weekend, traffic conditions will be slightly less difficult. Friday and Saturday will remain the most challenging days of the weekend, as they usually are. Only Sunday will be much calmer on the roads in the departure direction. 

A Difficult Friday 

For the first time since the start of the holidays, the return traffic will be more complicated than the departure flow. The southwest will be the most traveled region by holidaymakers on the highways. The “Sun Highway” (A7) is rated red by Bison Futé, and it is best to avoid it between 1 p.m. and midnight. In the departure direction, this Friday is rated orange throughout France. 

A Red Saturday

A Saturday that is not rated at least orange is not a real holiday Saturday. In the departure direction, Bison Futé has rated the entire territory as red, resulting in “very difficult” traffic. The A10, A7, A9, and A63 motorways should be avoided between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., so plan to leave very early or very late to avoid the traffic jams as much as possible. In the return direction, Brittany and the Nord are the only regions rated red; for the rest of the country, expect slowdowns. 

Green Light for Sunday

Sundays this summer are quite similar, with very little traffic expected. Only a few slowdowns are forecast in the departure and return flows in the Southwest. Traffic across the rest of the country will be normal.
