The last weekend of the holidays will be busy with return traffic

The weekend of September 1st sets the tone for the upcoming school year, which will officially start on September 4th. On the roads, driving conditions will be difficult. 

Driving conditions will be challenging for this last weekend of the summer holidays, announces Bison Futé. As the holidays come to an end, it is noticeable on the roads, which will be busy with return traffic.

An orange Friday 

In the departure direction, roads will be clear, and Bison Futé does not forecast any traffic across the country. However, in the return direction, the situation will become more complicated. According to Bison Futé, it is preferable to leave the A7 between Orange and Lyon before 12 p.m., or to take the motorway after 6 p.m. Île-de-France will also be affected by traffic jams at the A10. 

A difficult Saturday

Just like on Friday, traffic will be smooth in the departure direction; only in the return direction will conditions be more difficult. Once again, the A7 will be the highway with the most congestion anticipated. The same time frame as Friday, between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m., should be avoided. Île-de-France is also recommended to be avoided after 2 p.m. 

Sunday looks peaceful

For Sunday, September 3rd, Bison Futé predicts there will be no significant difficulties across the entire country, whether in the departure or return direction. Some slowdowns near Île-de-France are still expected.
