Tesla responded by announcing the upcoming arrival of a dedicated train capable of connecting the capital to the factory in about 40 minutes, notably by purchasing a disused railway track. Now, the Gigafactory Tesla is the terminus of a line accessible to the general public thanks to a station built just a few hundred meters from the factory. Each train can carry up to 400 people, with the factory hoping to reach around 11,000 at full capacity.
The only hiccup is that this train, shared with the railway company, is not electric… but diesel. Not exactly a good look.
