The Renault Group has heavily invested in France and internationally in a clear and comprehensible branding strategy that is paying off.

The Renault brand recorded a solid performance worldwide with a +9.4% increase in sales (1,548,748 vehicles) compared to the previous year. Justifiably proud of this international recognition, Renault is the most sold French brand in the world.

Regarding utility vehicles, with a strong growth of 19.9%, Renault outperforms the global market, which increased by 10.4%.

The past fiscal year was marked by the presentation of Renault’s “International game plan 2027“, which will ensure the brand’s future growth in non-European markets through 8 new models between 2023 and 2027. In 2023, development outside Europe was mainly driven by activities in Brazil, Turkey, and Morocco.

Furthermore, Renault continues its electrification push (hybrid and electric vehicles). The technological choices made by the brand are relevant, aligning with customer expectations: a 100% electric range on one side and a hybrid range on the other for a more gradual energy transition. As a result, Renault accelerates its growth with a +19.7% increase in sales in one year (270,362 vehicles sold) and ranks third in Europe for electrified passenger vehicles. Electrified vehicles now account for 39.7% of the brand’s passenger vehicle sales.

This momentum is supported by a 62% increase in hybrid vehicle sales (HEV), totaling 185,666 units. Austral, Clio, and Captur are in the top 10 best-selling hybrid vehicles in Europe.

The Mégane E-Tech Electric, launched mid-2022, has repositioned the brand in the electric vehicle market and helped attract new customers (conquest rate over 50% against competitors in Europe). Mégane E-Tech Electric sold 47,504 units in 2023 and now ranks in the top 3 of its category in Europe.

Renault’s electric offerings will be expanded in 2024 with the Scénic E-Tech Electric and Renault 5 E-Tech Electric.
