Polestar 4, it only needs a price tag

The Polestar 4 will be officially unveiled in 2 days. No big surprises are expected besides its price, as teasers have been ongoing.

La Polestar 4 is a 100% electric SUV with long-range capability, priced around €50,000 as the starting price. Quite frankly, it enters a highly saturated market. It needed to stand out, which is why Polestar’s designers decided to remove the rear window, giving the car a stunningly pure design. The 360° cameras and other 3D radars will handle showing you what’s happening behind you.

Design is great, but for an electric car a touch of virtue is also good. The Polestar 4 is produced at Geely’s SEA factory in Hangzhou Bay, China, which combines hydroelectric green electricity and photovoltaics. Increased use of low-carbon aluminum from foundries powered by hydroelectricity helps further reduce environmental impact. Biobased materials, optimized recycling cycles—it’s a good Scandinavian student making a presentation to the public.

Different offers will be available at launch. A basic version with 270 hp and 102 kWh battery (0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds), and a second with dual motors producing 540 horsepower. (0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds).

Finally, on the tech side, the Polestar 4 will feature the Android Automotive operating system. First introduced in the Polestar 2 launched three years ago, this operating system has found its place in the models of the Swedish-Chinese group Geely. It is now extended to the 4 model with new interesting features.
