The Lucid Air has a four-legged mode!

The Lucid Air boasts of providing optimal comfort to each of its passengers, whether standing on two or four legs.

Let’s be honest, this feature of the Lucid Air will not revolutionize the automotive industry, but the initiative deserves recognition. Each Lucid Air now offers the « Creature Comfort Mode », a live (OTA) software update specially designed for your beloved pets. With this mode, you can set and maintain the cabin temperature for your animal’s comfort when you need to leave them alone in the car for a moment.

Animals in the spotlight

With a simple press on a paw-shaped icon, you can leave with peace of mind, while the 34-inch screen displays a reassuring message for people who might be intrigued or even horrified by the presence of a dog alone in the car: « Animal Comfort Mode activated. My owner will be back soon ». The cabin temperature is also displayed to reassure passersby. It would indeed be unfortunate if a Good Samaritan broke a window to free the poor creature lounging on the comfortable back seat…

Aside from controlling the ambient temperature, the « Creature Comfort Mode » deactivates all controls, including power windows and pedals, to prevent any accidental manipulation. It would be a shame if Médor, Ora, Rex, Rumba, or Mirza tried to make a run for it.

However, Lucid does not specify whether this mode prevents bites on the stylish upholstered seats and little accidents out of frustration… More seriously, let’s keep in mind that leaving an animal alone in a car under unsuitable conditions is an act of cruelty punishable by law with a fine of 750 euros.
