Lamborghini Praises Its Huracan Before Retirement

Launched in 2014, the Lamborghini Huracan will be bidding farewell. An opportunity to pay tribute through a very limited STJ series.

10 units, no more. 10 units, just like the number of candles the Lamborghini Huracan has just blown out. 10 years already. Also, to thank it for an unprecedentedly successful commercial career, and because a Italian supercar with a 100% gasoline V10 will now be a thing of the past, Lamborghini wanted to celebrate the moment. At the end of 2024, a brand new car with a hybrid powertrain will appear.

With the very limited series Huracan STJ, for Super Trofeo Jota, Lamborghini aimed to go all out. Jota refers to Annex J of the FIA Regulations that set the specifications for racing cars, and to a long tradition of Lamborghini models developed for the track, starting with the Miura SVJ, then the Aventador SVJ.

640 hp as a farewell

Esthetically, the STJ closely resembles the already highly performative STO version. Aerodynamics have been further improved with the addition of the iconic “cofango”, two carbon fiber appendages on the rear hips, while the angle of the rear wing has been increased by 3° compared to the STO. Sufficient to ensure a 10% increase in aerodynamic load.

Under the rear hood, the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 delivers 640 horsepower at 8,000 rpm. The torque, also generous, is 565 Nm. Only the rear wheels are driven via a dual-clutch transmission with 7 gears. The suspension finally benefits from 4 adjustable settings, which is extremely rare on a road car.

Lamborghini does not disclose a price. After all, the 10 units are already sold. Thank you for everything, Huracan, and enjoy your retirement!
