VIDEO – Over 260 km/h in a Tesla Model 3 Performance

There is an ideal playground in Europe to legally test the limits of a car like the Tesla Model 3 Performance.

Shortly after delivery, the Tesla Model 3 Performance was put to the test by the YouTube channel YouOnlyNeedACar. This channel has specialized in extreme car tests on German highways, or rather their sections without speed limits. This is obviously not the smartest approach as a circuit or closed road is more suitable for this type of exercise, but it is perfectly legal.

Before taking a look at the test, let’s remember that Tesla did not just turn the power dial of the Model 3 Highland to the “much more” setting. The car features specific front and rear bumpers, a rear diffuser, and a small rear carbon fiber spoiler. Special mention goes to the beautiful raw carbon front spoiler that adds an extra touch of aggression to the front of the Highland model. For this, the previous generation looks quite outdated! Add to this beautiful lightweight 20-inch wheels with a slightly offset fit, and the overall look, while not outrageous, creates a pleasing aesthetic and optimizes stability at high speeds. This is evident in the video as the driver manages to control the car with a small turn of the wheel during each lane change. There is no wobbling to disrupt the maneuver, which is quite impressive to admit.

Tesla sets new standards

It’s better because the high-performance electric motors now develop a combined power of 460 horsepower and offer acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 263 km/h. Without becoming a hypercar, this is the most powerful and fastest Model 3 ever designed.
