Tesla Model Y Long Range Excluded from €4000 Discount

Clothing, Tesla is clearing its inventory of Model Y except for its most desirable configuration, the Long Range Propulsion.

The condition is clearly stated: the 4000 euros of the “Tesla bonus” are only eligible for Model Y vehicles available in stock. The problem is that Tesla is not supplying its inventory with the Long Range Propulsion version of the Model Y, which continues to be sold only on order.

The situation is quite revealing: on Tesla’s retail site, we learn that the delivery time for a Propulsion version ranges from 1 to 3 weeks depending on your location. But in the case of the Long Range Propulsion, there is no information other than “September 2024.” Too bad, the 4000 euro discount applies only to vehicles ordered before August 31, 2024, and delivered a maximum of one month later.

In its brief terms and conditions, Tesla has stated that the Long Range Model Y is excluded from this protocol, whether available in stock or not. Out of fear of being caught in its own legal game?

Towards a disappearance of Propulsion?

This new targeted promotion episode suggests, like in the United States, that the Tesla Model Y Propulsion is doomed to disappear from the catalog. Its relevance has disappeared, both internally and in relation to the competition. The threshold of 600 kilometers of range is set to become the norm, such that the version offering only 455 km on paper (380 km in reality, regardless of what the Tesla “ultras” say) will soon no longer be of interest.
