Donald Trump Unveils a Tesla Cybertruck Bearing His Likeness

Elon Musk is advancing his pieces in the American presidential campaign and has found a way to present his Cybertruck to Donald Trump.

The meeting between Donald Trump and the Tesla Cybertruck is an event rich in symbolism. It highlights the gap between a traditional view of the world – even retrograde or nostalgic – and the endless possibilities offered by technological innovation. However, it also emphasizes that, despite apparent differences, these two worlds can coexist and even complement each other, as long as there are common interests.

Donald Trump, after mocking Elon Musk and his electric car business that the former president of the United States promised to no longer assist with multiple federal aids, seems to be backtracking. In reality, one could say that by associating with his worst enemy, Elon Musk aimed to instrumentalize him and persuade him to change his mind through campaign donations. And this strategy seems to be working.

Since then, Trump claims he wants to meet Musk and has already changed his philosophy regarding electric cars. The flip-flop is swift, almost as fast as at a Tesla charging station.

The epitome of bad taste

Thus, a famous YouTuber in the United States, wearing a hat glorifying Donald Trump, hosted a show on his streaming channel, during which he presented a Tesla Cybertruck to Donald Trump. On the American electric pickup, there was special decoration showing the Republican candidate wounded during his assassination attempt in July 2024. The ultimate in bad taste, to the point that even Trump doesn’t quite know how to respond.

On the front hood, in large letters, the slogan “Make America Great Again“. The problem is that all this political noise is largely displeasing to Tesla customers, some turning away while others swear never to buy this brand again.

The stance and media outbursts of Elon Musk are increasingly poorly received, with stock prices dropping below $200, while they were worth more than $600 just a year and a half ago. The loss of value is enormous, and the moment is no longer for divisions to restore the company’s finances. The issue is that Musk has become so entangled with Trump that in the event of a victory for his rival, Kamala Harris, the South African businessman could lose very, very big. And for Tesla, but also for his other businesses like SpaceX.
