Your Model Y delivered before December 31, 2024, Tesla offers 1 year of free Supercharger use
This page is translated from the original post "Votre Model Y livrée avant le 31 décembre 2024, Tesla offre 1 an Supercharger gratuit" in French.

At the end of every year, Tesla rolls out the same sales pitch with 1 year of free Supercharger charging when purchasing a Model Y.
Tesla keeps pushing to beat a new sales record in 2024. To do this, all tricks are good, starting with reinstating the manufacturer’s bonus of 4,000 euros in addition to the ecological bonus of the same amount. As a result, the Model Y Propulsion drops to 36,990 euros again. And if you add to that the 1,000 euros referral bonus, the price drops to just 35,990 euros.
Now, from November 8th until December 31st, 2024, if you order and are delivered on time a Tesla Model Y, the Californian manufacturer offers you an entire year of free charging on its Supercharger network.
Presented this way, the idea is appealing, but what is the savings amount? Let’s assume you drive 10,000 kilometers annually via the LLD or leasing contract you commit to with Tesla, and that you only recharge at Superchargers now.
€500 every 10,000 km?
With an average kWh price of 0.30 euros (sometimes less, sometimes more depending on the time of day), then a 60 kWh charge would have cost you 18 euros for a real range of 350 kilometers. Scaling up to 10,000 km, the total savings would be €515. Suddenly, the discount isn’t that impressive… And it will be even less if you mix charging at home, which is much more practical daily. Tesla therefore doesn’t take a big financial risk.
Ultimately, and since Tesla does not limit the number of charges per year, this promotion is very attractive for high-mileage drivers on the highway, ideally those equipped with a Model Y Long Range (Propulsion or All-Wheel Drive), as they will be able to travel at high speeds without worrying about recharging or costs. However, it’s a shame that this offer only applies to the Model Y and not the Model 3 or others.
It’s still something, as competitors rarely offer such incentives either…
