Getaround aims to simplify car-sharing by delivering rental vehicles directly to your home.

Getaround, founded in 2009 in the United States, quickly became a major player in peer-to-peer car rentals. In 2018, the company expanded its services to Europe by acquiring Drivy, and today, it offers innovative car-sharing solutions in several countries, transforming transportation practices. In France, 71% of residents still prefer cars for vacations. With this in mind, Getaround has launched a new service to simplify car-sharing during the holiday period: vehicle delivery to your home. This service follows the introduction of delivery at train stations and airports in January, and today, 50% of the cars available on the platform offer this option.

Home delivery allows users to receive their vehicle directly in front of their door, significantly reducing the stress associated with departures. This service offers many advantages, such as a considerable saving of time, especially for those with luggage or bulky gifts. Additionally, it provides a wide selection of vehicles, with the option to receive a car within a 50 km radius. Pricing is flexible and adjusts based on location, traffic, or fuel costs. An important aspect is safety, as the vehicle inspection is carried out in the presence of the owner, and keys are handed over in person.

To use this service, simply reserve a vehicle via the Getaround app or website. Vehicles available for home delivery are marked with an icon. Once the reservation is made, the owner confirms the request and payment completes the rental. On the delivery day, the vehicle is brought at the agreed time and place, with a condition report completed through the app.

Owners, for their part, can customize delivery settings such as rates or delivery zones, offering greater flexibility for both parties. This service confirms Getaround’s commitment to making car rental more accessible and comfortable.
