German electric bike distributor Leon sets up in Lyon

Leon Cycle, the official distributor of the NCM and ET.CYCLE electric bike brands, has established its French headquarters in Lyon.

In 2025, Leon Cycle, a German company specializing in electric bikes, chose Lyon, specifically the Part-Dieu district, to set up its French headquarters. This strategic decision reflects the company’s intention to strengthen its presence in the French market, a rapidly growing sector where sales of electric bikes (VAE) are experiencing sustained growth.

In 2025, VAE sales account for more than 50% of bicycle sales in Europe. This dynamic is driven by technological innovations, such as lighter batteries, improved autonomy, and integrated designs. It is in this context that Leon Cycle aims to capitalize on the booming and transforming market.

Leon Cycle stands out with its NCM and ET.CYCLE brands, which offer a wide range of VAE suited for various uses, combining comfort and performance thanks to high-capacity batteries, powerful motors, and ergonomic design. Safety is enhanced with features such as battery geolocation, cut-off systems, and additional protections on certain models. Finally, the competitive price-to-quality ratio helps democratize VAE usage. In 2025, Leon Cycle expands its catalog with two new models: the T3s, an e-trekking bike, and the CG7, a longtail electric cargo bike.

The choice of Lyon, at the heart of a dynamic ecosystem, allows Leon Cycle to strengthen its local roots.
