Porsche 964 Turbo Look Singer

Singer’s latest creation is inspired by the rare Porsche type 964 “Turbo Look” with widened body from the 1980s.

Singer, the Californian specialist in Porsche restoration, unveils a new interpretation of the 911 based on the 964 phase 2 generation produced between 1992 and 1994 (1989-1992 for phase 1). This very rare option, limited to just over a thousand units, offered at the time to enjoy the look of the sinister Turbo versions without adopting their very sophisticated engines. A velvet hand in an iron glove!

The heart of this model is a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine, developing 420 horsepower. This block was co-developed with Cosworth, incorporating for the first time a variable valve timing system. It combines water-cooled cylinder heads with air-cooled cylinders, offering an extended operating range and increased performance. This engine, connected to a six-speed manual transmission, delivers all the power to the rear wheels.

A car from the past with cutting-edge technology

Singer does not simply reuse the vintage chassis of a donor vehicle but has collaborated with Red Bull Advanced Technologies to strengthen its rigidity through the careful addition of composite materials. The body, now in carbon fiber, receives the iconic “whale tail” spoiler as it should.

On the modern side, the car features adjustable dampers with a front lift system and five driving modes (Road, Sport, Track, Off-road, and Wet weather) that adjust the electronic aids. The interior is a true customizable work of art. Customers can choose paint colors, leather type, and even stitch patterns. Singer offers an exceptional level of customization.

But it’s important to come back down to earth for a moment. Be aware that although the exact price is not communicated by Singer or its clients, each model generally costs around half a million euros. The cost could rise for this project, as Singer has decided to limit production to 100 units to make the model even more exclusive.
