Segway Ninebot E2 E, the premium at an affordable price

By offering a new ultra-comprehensive model at only 329 euros, Segway is shaking up the entry-level mobility market.

No false promises impossible to keep, Segway aims solely for a last-mile solution with this model. If you’re looking for a simple, full-featured, well-made product for short urban trips, here is the Ninebot E2 E scooter. It features an elegant design with a large LED dashboard and performance perfectly suited for city use. It is equipped with puncture-resistant hollow 8.1-inch tires that require no maintenance and still offer good shock absorption capacity.

With a range of up to 25 km, the Segway E2 E is clearly aimed at daily trips to work, school, or the gym. If you want to spend an entire day exploring a city or cover long distances at full speed, it will be much too short! With a combined electronic front brake / mechanical drum rear brake, controlled by a single lever, it’s not exactly a master of deceleration.

Not too fast, not too far

It offers 3 riding modes:

• Standard: balances speed and range with a maximum speed of 15 km/h.
• Sport: higher speed and power, with a maximum speed of 20 km/h.
• Walk: for navigating traffic and pedestrian zones at a maximum speed of 5 km/h.

The 250W motor provides the necessary power to handle slopes up to 12%.

A giant screen

Forget small battery status bars or cheap gadget screens blinding you in the sun. The E2 E is equipped with a beautiful 2.8-inch color central screen, readable in full sun thanks to its 25° tilt angle. This display clearly shows the battery status and speed, while riding mode, flight status, and lock/unlock status are more discreet.

Connected Segway

Thanks to the integration of Segway-Ninebot Bluetooth connectivity, all basic information is always accessible from your phone:

• Current trip information
• Firmware updates
• Lock/unlock the scooter
• Custom settings

In summary, while this Segway model offers nothing revolutionary, it does much better by providing everything expected from a higher-end scooter at a gentle price.
