Summer holidays: SNCF tickets now available for sale

The SNCF has been selling its tickets for the summer 2023 period since March 8, with new destinations and lines.

The summer holiday period is always very busy and often quite expensive. Between children wanting to go to the sea, hotels, restaurants, and transportation, it can sometimes be hard to keep track. The SNCF thus offers to book your tickets today, helping you travel at a lower cost across the rest of the European continent.

Indeed, this is good news during a period of recurrent strike. Tickets for TGV INOUI, Intercités, and OUIGO trains are now available on the SNCF website. This allows you to plan calmly and delight your loved ones when the school year ends.

Several booking slots are now available, for vacation periods tailored to everyone’s needs. Additionally, discounts up to free travel are available for children aged 0 to 11 traveling with adults.

What are the ticket reservation dates?

The summary below helps clarify and plan your reservation calendar for summer 2023 and beyond:

For TGV INOUI and Intercités, for trips between July 8 and September 3 inclusive, you can visit the SNCF reservation websites to get your ticket. This also concerns destinations Paris-Fribourg, Paris-Luxembourg, and Brussels-Province. For the 2023 Rugby World Cup period, adjustments are planned to open a selection of trains for sale within the TGV-Intercités scope. Depending on match dates, from September 4 to November 8, this will allow supporters to travel to the competitions.

Therefore, OUIGO Classic Train tickets, with fares between 10 and 30 euros, are available 45 days before departure. Since its launch in April 2021, more than one million travelers have used these trains. As for international TGVs (TGV Lyria, TGV INOUI France-Italy, DB-SNCF cooperation, TGV INOUI France-Spain), available 6 months in advance, sales are open until September 8.

Any new features for OUIGO tickets this year?

The OUIGO service has expanded in France and plans three new destinations this year:

• Paris – Brest with a daily round trip from Paris Montparnasse, serving St-Brieuc, Guingamp, and Morlaix;
• Paris – La Rochelle with a round trip from Friday to Monday, from Paris Montparnasse, serving Niort and Surgères (daily offer during the summer);
• Paris – Perpignan, starting March 27, with daily round trips serving Paris Gare de Lyon, Sète, Agde, Béziers, and Narbonne.

Additionally, for the youngest members of our circle, OUIGO has created the TOUPTI offer. Since 2022, it has allowed over two million children to travel at reduced fares. Now, for children aged 0 to 3, travel is free on OUIGO Grande Vitesse and OUIGO Classic lines, provided they sit on an adult’s lap. Children between 4 and 11 benefit from an 8-euro child fare, giving them a seat to play or read with their loved ones.

For connected travelers, OUIGO Grande Vitesse trains now offer Wi-Fi access to browse the internet and access digital content. The OUIFI (3 euros) and OUIFUN (5 euros) options are now available on these trains, allowing you to surf the web throughout your journey.

• At SNCF stations and shops;
• By phone at 3635 (free service + call cost);
• From authorized SNCF travel agencies;
• On the SNCF Connect and OUIGO websites/apps.
