Navigo Pass: Refunds for Transilien Train Strikes?

To compensate for minimal unfulfilled services, the Île-de-France region is launching a reimbursement service starting in July 2023.

The Île-de-France region will compensate users of certain Transilien lines for a lack of guaranteed service in recent months due to strikes. Depending on the line traveled, you will be entitled to compensation ranging from 10 euros to 94 euros.

Indeed, from January to April 2023, the Île-de-France region estimates that twenty-nine train line branches were affected by these disruptions. Through an agreement between SNCF and IDF Mobilités, travelers with a Navigo Monthly or Annual pass will be eligible for reimbursements for the disturbances experienced.

Starting from July 2023, a reimbursement platform will be opened by the Île-de-France region to compensate you. RER lines C, D, and E, as well as certain Transilien lines, are eligible for these reimbursements.

Calculation of Compensation

Thus, the Île-de-France region has published a table calculating compensation based on the number of disrupted days. For those affected by 1, 2, or 3 days of strike, the region will reimburse you 10 euros.

For those who experienced 4 or more days of strike in recent months, you will receive compensation of 2.80 € per day of strike. Additionally, the Île-de-France region will grant you a 10 euro increase on the indemnities awarded.

• Monthly Navigo;
• Discovery Monthly Navigo;
• Smartphone Monthly Navigo;
• 50% Discount Monthly Pass;
• 75% Solidarity Monthly Pass.
