AutoFlight Takes Flight with Falcon

AutoFlight and Falcon Aviation Services aim to advance advanced air mobility in the United Arab Emirates and across the region.

Falcon Aviation Services is one of the leading global business aviation operators, while AutoFlight is at the forefront of designing and manufacturing cutting-edge autonomous eVTOL aircraft. The acronym eVTOL “Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing” refers to electric aircraft capable of vertical takeoff and landing, representing a future niche for business transportation and aerial tourism. These two pioneering companies had no choice but to connect, and they officially demonstrated their commitment by signing a memorandum of understanding.

AutoFlight’s Prosperity is an electric aircraft that uses rotor technology for vertical takeoff and smoothly transitions to horizontal flight like a traditional plane. The eVTOL can reach speeds over 200 km/h, with an autonomy exceeding 250 km. AutoFlight is one of the few eVTOL manufacturers to master the challenging “transition phase” from vertical to horizontal flight, having flown thousands of kilometers across multiple iterations of its aircraft.

Prosperity was designed by Frank Stephenson, the designer who revolutionized Mini and Fiat 500, and created iconic designs for Ferrari, McLaren, and Maserati, among others, before turning his talents toward the sky and the realm of flying taxis.

Over the past 12 months, AutoFlight has continuously set new benchmarks in the electric air taxi landscape, notably setting a world record for a 250.3 km flight on a single charge. As part of another significant milestone for the aviation industry, AutoFlight recently successfully executed a formation flight of three autonomous eVTOL aircraft, a world first.
