Lvneng Gener: an affordable but slow electric scooter
This page is translated from the original post "Lvneng Gener : un scooter électrique abordable mais lent" in French.

A Bosch motor, admittedly, but a really underpowered one, which limits the performance of the Lvneng Gener.
Lvneng – pronounced “Luneng” – is a Chinese specialist in small electric scooters. Of the 7 models currently in its catalog, the Gener is the most basic… and therefore the least expensive! Its price? Only €1,599.
However, Lvneng was forced to make some choices to keep the price so low. This small scooter weighing 58 kilograms is powered by a Bosch motor of only 0.81 kW. Besides limiting the bonus to €100, this low power obviously impacts performance, especially the top speed, which is limited to 25 km/h. With the Gener, you therefore have to accept riding at the same pace as a cyclist. Recall that on electric assist bicycles, the small motor specifically operates up to 25 km/h.
At least, the wattage deficit preserves the scooter’s range, estimated between 80 and 110 km. The 48V, 24 Ah battery is supplied by LG. Removable, it weighs “only” 7 kilograms.
The Gener sits on small 10-inch wheels. It has a drum brake at the rear but a disc brake at the front. Features include keyless start, a USB port, and an alarm as standard equipment, which also includes LED lighting.

Competitor to the Niu UQi
The Lvneng Gener is a direct competitor to the Niu UQi Sport… which it closely resembles! Slightly more powerful with its 1.2 kW Bosch motor, the Niu can reach 45 km/h. These higher performances, combined with a slightly smaller battery, limit the theoretical range to 40 km. As for the price, the Niu UQi Sport costs €500 more than the Gener.
