But before we dive in, let’s take a look at the little machine. The Naon Lucy is built around an aluminum frame with a classic and fairly sleek look at the front. The rear, on the other hand, is much more original with the seat perched on a kind of platform overlooking a long and raw swingarm. For those who have the reference, it almost looks like a completely stripped MBK Booster. However, Naon assures that the wheelbase is shorter than average, which leaves us puzzled about the dimensions of this strange two-wheeler. Especially since the space under the seat is supposed to accommodate a helmet and a few accessories such as gloves or a rain jacket and pants.

The two removable batteries are placed as low as possible, which should provide very stable road handling with a low center of gravity. Naon announces an autonomy of 160 km, but we know how to take such claims… with a grain of salt. More seriously, little information is provided about the motor, apart from a small “7kW” mentioned in passing during a praise of the machine and an announcement of a top speed of 100 km/h. At this point, we definitely need more than just promises!

So in the end, it’s best to visit the brand’s website to form an opinion and especially to request a test ride before letting go of more than the 100 euros asked. One certainty, we seem to be in for another year or more of waiting before seeing one on the road… if we ever see one.
