Niu sets the price of its MQi GT 100 electric scooter at €2899

The highly successful small Chinese electric scooter sees its price drop by 1200 euros until December 31, 2024.

It has adopted the aesthetic codes of the legendary Vespa, but with an electric heart in line with current trends. One might argue that the Italian scooter is now also available in electric form, but with lower performance and a higher price. It’s hard to compete.

Thus, the Chinese manufacturer Niu is leading an aggressive promotional campaign for its MQi GT 100. Initially sold for 4999 euros, it has now been discounted to 3799 euros. And by applying the ecological bonus of 900 euros, the price drops to 2899 euros.

80 km autonomy

The Niu MQi GT 100, as its name suggests, allows for a top speed of up to 100 km/h. With its removable 3.7 kWh battery that can be charged at home, in the office, or elsewhere via a simple electrical outlet, this scooter promises up to 80 km of autonomy. One can generally expect around 50 km… or even 100 km by doubling the battery capacity. You will just need to carry 2 x 14 kg of battery. That’s a workout for your arms and thighs… Charging requires 5 hours on a standard outlet.

Like all new connected objects, the Niu MQi GT 100 can inform you remotely about its location, security, remaining battery level, etc.

It should finally be noted that electric scooters are still often exempted from parking fees in major cities to encourage a transition away from combustion engines.
