XEV Yoyo

As Free2Move did with the AMI, Enjoy has decided to add a small electric car with a quirky look: the XEV Yoyo, to its fleet.

Owned by the Eni company, the Enjoy operator is present in several Italian cities. But for now, only its customers in Turin can reserve a XEV Yoyo. A total of 100 units have been put into service. The rental costs 29 cents per minute, just like other models in the fleet.

An Italian micro-city car

It is also in Turin that the manufacturer XEV was founded in 2018. Fully electric, the Yoyo it developed features a removable battery pack. To remove it from the car, simply open a hatch at the back of the vehicle and take out the three components one by one.

This solution significantly reduces the downtime of a discharged car, as battery swapping takes just a few seconds. It could therefore be advantageous for Enjoy, which, like all its competitors, seeks to maximize the utilization of its fleet. To fully exploit this potential, Eni has also installed 8 battery exchange stations in Turin.

Charging can also be done on a standard charging station. Once the 10.4 kWh pack is fully charged, the Yoyo can travel approximately 150 km.

A Yoyo more powerful than the AMI

Equipped with a 7.5 kW motor, the XEV Yoyo is slightly more powerful than a Citroën AMI. It reaches a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

The car measures just over 2.50 meters and can only seat two people. The interior is basic but bright thanks to the panoramic roof. The Yoyo features air conditioning and a central touchscreen.

The XEV Yoyo can also be purchased in Italy. Its price starts at €14,900 excluding purchase incentives.
