Our analysis of the FIAT 500e offer at €99/month
Before rushing to take advantage of the FIAT 500e offer, we wanted to read the exact conditions. The offer is valid for individuals with a tax reference income per share below €14,089. You must lease the FIAT 500e for 37 months (or 30,000 km). The first payment will be €9,500.
With the ecological bonus of €5,000 offered for purchasing an electric vehicle and the eco-discount of €2,000 from FIAT, the initial contribution for the long-term rental is €2,500. If you sell your old diesel vehicle (before 2011) or gasoline vehicle (before 2006), you will also benefit from the government’s Conversion Bonus. The first month’s payment then drops to €0.
To qualify for the offer, you must choose the MY23 Sedan 23.8 kWh model.
The FIAT 500e in this offer benefits from two different motors. These will therefore influence the price of the Long-Term Rental (LLD). The first motor is 70kW (90 hp) and has a 23.8 kWh battery. The manufacturer hints that the vehicle can travel 190 km (WLTP mixed cycle). The second motor is 87 kW (118 hp) with a 42 kWh battery. The theoretical range is 320 km (WLTP mixed cycle).
If all the subsidy conditions are met, you will only pay €3,564 to keep a vehicle on LLD for 37 months. However, the Ministry for Ecological Transition, in its 2019 Transport Report, estimated that the French drive an average of 12,200 km per year (about 1,017 km per month). Yet, the LLD only covers a maximum of 30,000 km. Based on the previous offer for the FIAT Panda Hybrid, each additional kilometer beyond the allowed ones will cost €0.04.
