New BYD Atto 3 Evo: more powerful, more practical, faster

BYD presents the Atto 3 EVO now available with all-wheel drive, increased range, and updated technologies.

The BYD Atto 3 Evo marks a major evolution of the electric SUV that was introduced in Europe in 2023. This new generation brings several technical improvements, including a larger battery, extended range, and faster charging, as well as a simplification of the lineup and enhancement of standard equipment.

The most notable new feature is the all-wheel drive option. The model also retains a rear-wheel drive version. The Excellence version, equipped with AWD, produces 449 hp (330 kW) and 560 Nm of torque, allowing a 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and a combined WLTP range of 470 km. The rear-wheel drive Design version reaches 313 hp (230 kW) for a 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and a combined range of 510 km. Both versions use a single 74.8 kWh battery and benefit from fast charging at 220 kW, capable of going from 10% to 80% in 25 minutes.

The SUV is based on the e-Platform 3.0, integrating the Blade LFP battery directly into the chassis for added rigidity and safety. The exterior dimensions remain the same as those of the previous Atto 3 (4,455 mm long, 1,875 mm wide, 1,615 mm high), but the trunk has increased to 490 L, expandable to 1,360 L with the rear seats folded down. An additional storage space of 101 L is available under the hood (frunk).

The interior also receives updates with an 8.8-inch digital cockpit, a 15.6-inch central screen with integrated Google services, an AI voice assistant, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality that can power external devices up to 3 kW. Safety is ensured by a comprehensive suite of driving aids and seven airbags.

With these developments, the BYD Atto 3 Evo offers more performance, practicality, and technology for the family electric SUV market, while maintaining a competitive position in Europe.
