With the resurgence of cycling in French households and cities, purchasing options are multiplying. We have already discussed several sites offering refurbished used bikes like Upway, Ekstere, or Backmarket. Here is another platform for used bikes: Biked.

Biked, the Vinted of used bikes?

This online platform, accessible via its website or app, specializes in leisure bikes: road, mountain, gravel, etc. It offers thousands of bikes. There are over 2,000 in the mountain bike category, more than a thousand road bikes, plus some gravel and BMX. Most bikes come from private sellers, with negotiation possible, as well as some resellers.

Biked also features used city bikes, with nearly 350 cycles available, from Dutch cargo bikes to folding bikes, including electric models. In this category, you’ll find classics for less than 100 euros, Brompton, Decathlon Elops, Moustache, O2feel, Kalkhoff, Intersport Nakamura, among others. With some searching, you can find gems like a Serial 1 electric bike, for less than 3,000 euros in near-new condition (original price 4,000 euros)!

Available throughout France, these used bikes can be delivered to home or to a relay point. Delivery costs 69 euros, or 79 euros for electric bikes. An additional 5% is added for the “Biked Protection” which includes “tracking, insurance, and support services”.

For sports enthusiasts, the site offers thousands of spare parts. Cyclists can browse through forks, saddles, frames, wheels, brakes, or other components for e-MTBs. Biked also features equipment. Dozens of second-hand items are available, including shoes, helmets, backpacks, bib shorts, jackets, GPS devices, and even trailers for cycle touring!

Selling your used bike, parts, and equipment

The Biked website – and the app – also allows you to resell your used bike. Simply pack it in a box or use a kit provided by the company, then arrange for a courier pickup.

The platform also accepts the resale of spare parts and equipment for bikes. It operates similarly to Vinted, the clothing resale/ buy app. Sellers list their items, which they pack themselves and send via a relay point. Shipping costs and the 5% Biked Protection fee are added to the item price for the buyer.
