Bike purchase subsidies extended until 2027

Bike purchase incentives are extended until 2027 to encourage behavioral shifts toward sustainable mobility.

All assistance now applies to new or used bikes sold by a professional and properly identified.

• The “Eco Bonus” for e-bikes is maintained at a maximum of 400 euros per bike. It is granted subject to income conditions for the purchase of a new or used electric-assisted bike.
• The “Cargo Bike” eco bonus is now up to 2,000 euros, subject to income conditions, for the purchase of a cargo bike, an electric trailer for bicycle, or a bike adapted for disabilities. For legal entities, it is 1,000 euros.

The conversion bonus remains capped at 3,000 euros. It is granted for the purchase of a new or used electric-assisted bike, in exchange for scrapping an old motorized vehicle. Cargo and adapted bikes are eligible. In low-emission zones, the state grants an additional premium equivalent to any local authority aid, up to 1,000 euros. The conversion bonus has been expanded to include the purchase of multiple bikes per household, with the same per-bike cap.
