Ayvens, one of the world leaders in long-term leasing and fleet management, has reached an agreement to purchase 500,000 vehicles.

The week begins well for the Stellantis group. The previous week was already good with the announcement of 18 billion euros in net profits in 2023. The deal signed with Ayvens, one of the top long-term rental companies in the world born from the acquisition of LeasePlan by ALD Automotive in May 2023, will also bring billions to the Franco-Italian automotive group.

The half-million cars ordered will have deliveries spread from the first half of 2024 until the end of 2026. The vehicles will be intended for both businesses and private individuals, and the offer will cover a wide range of brands. Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall will be affected. Different vehicle classes, ranging from compact cars to SUVs or 9-seater vans, will be selected.

A majority of electric vehicles?

Indications suggest that the priority will be given to decarbonizing corporate fleets. But also to reducing operating costs, with energy costs being a central issue for fleets. Transitioning to electric could allow significant economies of scale.
