Porsche Launches a Range of Turbo Sneakers

Sneakers Porsche 911 Turbo

For the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo, Porsche is launching an exclusive series of twelve sneaker models, limited to 911 copies.

Two models from this sneaker series are inspired by the first Porsche 911 Turbo presented 50 years ago at the Paris Motor Show. The “Turbo No. 1” is based on the 911 given to Louise Piëch for her 70th birthday, while the “Turbo 930” pays tribute to the 1976 model of Dr. Ferry Porsche.

The vintage “turbo” lettering on the exterior, along with a discreet Porsche logo, are distinctive features of each version. The heel section is inspired by the “whale tail,” characteristic of the rear wing, and features a tone-on-tone Porsche crest in relief, printed in 3D. At the front of the lacing, a removable plate displays the 50th-anniversary lettering.

Each country has its sneaker

Ten other exclusive editions are inspired by an iconic 911 Turbo for specific markets around the world: Germany, France, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, the United States, and Canada. Each country has chosen its color from the thirty historical colors offered by Porsche between 1975 and 1977. For the French edition, the pair will be highlighted by the historical color Viper Green Diamond (or Emerald Green Metallic).

The limited edition sneakers, limited to 911 copies, are available at a recommended retail price of 169 euros on shop.porsche.com as well as in the Porsche Museum shop in Stuttgart, Germany. Each pair comes in an exclusive black Puma bag. The 911 Turbo 50th anniversary “France” sneakers are also offered in the brand’s hexagonal Centers.
