Pagani or the embodiment of an ideal
When receiving a press release from a manufacturer like Pagani, you know that the thrill is never far away.
How to describe the philosophy that drives Pagani in a few words… Let’s say it’s a manufacturer that strives to put our unacknowledged desires on the road. Cars that are too expensive, very powerful, too fast, very luxurious, and absolutely not virtuous in terms of CO2 emissions. The bad girls that we can’t help but look at with a hint of guilt.

New illustration with this Huayra Epitome, a unique creation by Grandi Complicazioni, the division of Pagani Automobili dedicated to special projects. Its owner wanted a unique example that would bring the Huayra to its highest expression. Its name could only be “Epitome,” as the most complete embodiment of a concept, an idea, a value, an ideal.
A V12, nothing else
The heart of this beauty is a V12 from Mercedes capable of delivering 864 hp at 6,000 rpm, and a torque of 1,100 Nm. With hybridization? And what’s that for, it’s just good for Bugatti! Rather, two turbos to boost the 5,980cc engine to levels that we may not have imagined at Mercedes-AMG. But to be unique, you need to have something that others don’t. That little extra soul, that little flame, as France Gall would say, a great lover of beautiful mechanics. To date, the Epitome is the first and only Huayra equipped with a manual H-pattern transmission, a transverse seven-speed gearbox Pagani by Xtrac.

But the client also wanted a car that could be used every day. The Huayra Epitome is equipped with a new active suspension system and has a “super soft” button located on the central tunnel, to be activated when driving on rough roads for more comfort. Above 150 km/h, the shock absorber automatically returns to its sporty setting.
Daughter of art and air
The ultra-light titanium exhaust system adopts a 12 in 6 configuration. In addition to the four signature outlets located on the central tunnel, two additional round-section direct outlets are integrated into the underbody to utilize the blown diffuser principle and generate additional downforce. This new aerodynamic device is complemented by a new rear wing and an innovative rear light cover that guides the aerodynamic boundary layer to work in concert with the underbody. This is no longer just technology; it’s art. So enough talking, let’s focus on the images while we await the soundtrack.
