Morgan and Pininfarina, like an ode to summer
This Roadster combines the DNA and design of Morgan and Pininfarina. Its only flaw is that it will be limited to just 50 units.
What happens when Morgan’s timeless style meets the imagination of Pininfarina designers? You get the stunning Morgan Midsummer. Two centuries of history told through an exquisite bodywork.
The stout silhouette retains the iconic wheel arches and the long, sleek bonnet typical of every Morgan. The body is handmade from aluminum and requires over 250 hours of craftsmanship. More than 400 layers of laminated wood are assembled to create the chassis. Yes, a Morgan is primarily built around a wooden chassis structure!

Sitting with your behind close to the ground, the driver faces a small digital screen and five authentic, stylish digital gauges arranged on a no-frills dashboard. The air vents and the RND selector are located on the central console running the full length of the cockpit. Nothing is missing, but nothing is excess either. Well, maybe a windshield! But since the Morgan, as its name suggests, is intended to delight its owners in the summer, the small wind deflectors are more than enough.

Under the endless bonnet beats a turbocharged six-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Likely the same as that which powers the Plus Six, it should have no trouble propelling the 1,000 kg of the British car. Well, it’s hard to find a flaw! To steer the little British car, there’s a multifunction steering wheel which, frankly, borders on bad taste, even blasphemy! Why spoil an idyllic scene with such modern ugliness? Anyway, we love everything else!

The price of the Midsummer has not been announced, and it likely never will be, since each of the 50 cars has already been sold to a regular customer of the brand.
