Nissan Qashqai

This Nissan information will neither enhance your automotive culture nor increase your purchasing power… but it’s amusing to start the day.

With a dive of 65 meters, the new Nissan Qashqai has set the world record for the highest bungee jump with a car. It serves absolutely no purpose, we agree, but the images are impressive.

Launched in 2007, the Nissan Qashqai inaugurated a segment whose success has remained unwavering. “One is not serious when one is 17.” It’s not Nissan who says this, it’s Arthur Rimbaud. Seventeen years after its launch, the Qashqai has therefore taken on a challenge suitable for its age, bungee jumping.

Placed on a platform 65 meters high, the SUV made the big leap with a professional stuntman on board. Carried out in the Paris region by the Nissan France team, in collaboration with the technical teams of BBC Studios France, this jump was made in front of the jury of the Guinness World Records, which validated the feat as a new world record.

This spectacular challenge was unveiled in prime time this Sunday, September 8, on TF1 by the brand ambassador, Denis Brogniart.
