Fernando Alonso received his Aston Martin Valiant

The Spanish Champion took delivery of his very special Aston Martin at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The Aston Martin Valiant is not just any car. You might have guessed it from its looks, but above all it was born from the mind of one of the greatest drivers, Fernando Alonso. It is a special edition influenced by the bull of Asturias that represents the British brand in the Formula 1 World Championship. It is an extreme version of the already very spectacular Aston Martin Valour.

This pure and raw thoroughbred is equipped with a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine producing 745 hp. Power is sent to the rear wheels only through an old-school six-speed manual transmission, and to slow down the beast, it features 410 mm carbon-ceramic brakes in the front and 360 mm in the rear.

A modern Aston with a vintage look

Under rather classic volumes that evoke the 1970s V8 Vantage, the aerodynamics of the Valiant is worthy of a modern Formula 1. From the wheel covers inspired by those of the legendary RHAM/1 “Muncher” from Le Mans 1980, to the spectacular carbon appendages adorning the splitter and side skirts, everything is designed to optimize airflow and keep the Aston Martin grounded. A carbon rear diffuser paired with a spectacular wing completes the aerodynamic package. A titanium exhaust system with four outlets enhances the sound of the V12.

38 units of this asphalt-eater will be produced, and all are reserved for the brand’s top clients, who will be delivered in the 4th quarter of 2024. As soon as it was unveiled, the Valiant did what it was made for, burning rubber and roaring with fury in the hands of its first customer and double Formula 1 world champion, Fernando Alonso!
