Without eco bonus, Smart discounts its cars by up to €3000

Until February 16, 2024, the Smart #1 and #3 benefit from immediate discounts of €3,000 and €2,000 respectively at dealerships.

The sales officially ended, yet there are still very good deals to be made. For example, browsing the Smart commercial website reveals that to celebrate its 25th anniversary, the historically German manufacturer (created by Mercedes Daimler in 1995) and now Chinese (co-owned by Geely since 2019) is offering nice gifts.

These come in the form of two attractive discounts: -€2,000 on all #3 models, all trims and options. And -€3,000 on all #1 models, all trims and options. The discount will appear once the vehicle is added to the online shopping cart and will be reflected in the final TTC price.

Interesting Offers?

Smart has not been enjoying great popular success since repositioning itself in the electric premium SUV segment. Its concept of a compact, ultra-manageable vehicle for city driving has disappeared along with its fans. Since then, quietly, a simplified entry-level version with a smaller battery was introduced in October 2023 to lower the price of the #1 model.

In #1 Pro trim, the price dropped by €4,000 to €37,490. In February 2024, even without the €3,000 discount, the price of this same #1 Pro version is even lower: €36,315. Including the €3,000 gift, it falls to €33,315. Interesting? With its limited 47 kWh net battery, the Smart #1 is dynamic but not very enduring. It promises up to 310 km in mixed cycle, but after 200 km, you’ll start to sweat. The 62 kWh battery version sadly costs €5,000 more for only an additional 100 km range. Meh. Smart will need to make further efforts, though the initiative already deserves recognition.

Same logic applies to the very sleek and elongated #3, whose prices are €1,000 higher starting at €37,315. With a less generous discount, it now starts at €35,315.
