Having been in development for four years, the Togg T10X is scheduled to be launched in Turkey. Its performance levels close to European standards could enable it to enter the French market.

TOFAS (Fiat), OTAK (Renault), and Karsan are the three main automobile groups present in Turkey. A newcomer has since joined the scene. Named TOGG (for Türkiye’nin Otomobili Girişim Grubu), it actually comprises five companies aiming to modernize the sector, notably by expanding the electric vehicle market.

The Togg T10X’s style partly owes to a renowned Italian house, Pininfarina. The grille is particularly striking. It recalls the Buick models from the 2000s, or even a bit of the Jeep Grand Cherokee (WL). The rear inspiration seems to be more aligned with Mercedes and its electric EQ range.

Inside, the Turkish SUV is not lacking compared to its competitors, quite the opposite. It focuses heavily on technology, with camera mirrors and no less than four digital screens on the dashboard and center console. It also features Level 2 autonomous driving, and according to Togg, it could upgrade to Level 3 with a software update. For tech enthusiasts, note that the multimedia interface runs on Snapdragon, and the T10X supports 4G and has a WiFi hotspot.

Comfort features are very comprehensive: 360° camera, electric tailgate, heated windshield, automatic parking system…

One engine, two batteries

In terms of mechanics, a Togg T10X propulsion model equipped with an 218 hp electric motor, combined with a 52.4 kWh battery, will be available. According to the Turkish manufacturer, its range is estimated at 314 km under WLTP standards. A long-range version is also offered, featuring an 88.5 kWh battery, which could deliver a range of up to 523 km (WLTP).

For charging, the Togg T10X supports fast charging up to 150 kW. When using alternating current (AC), it is equipped with an integrated 11 kW charger.
