This extremely rare electric Hypercar is for sale

Wheel bomb, the GAC Aion Hyper SSR “Sprint Edition” 100% electric is equipped with three motors delivering a total of 1,200 horsepower.

This GAC Aion Hyper SSR “Sprint Edition” 2024 is offered for sale on SBX Cars, the auction platform of influencer Supercar Blondie. If you are not familiar with this Chinese car, which has a rather low production rate to be fair, prepare yourself for a little shock.

The GAC Aion Hyper SSR “Sprint Edition” is powered by a trio of synchronous permanent magnet electric motors, one on the front axle and two on the rear wheels. This trio is powered by a ternary lithium battery of 74.9 kWh.

It produces a total power of 900 kW (1,225 hp) and a torque of 1,230 Nm. It devours the 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250 km/h. According to GAC Aion, the Hyper SSR offers a range of 506 km and can regain 140 km of range in 10 minutes of charging. We are therefore facing a power monster, but not necessarily a technological pearl.

Chinese electric missile

In terms of style, the Aion Hyper GT is characterized by a low and compact silhouette. It features short overhangs and 20-inch wheels. It is a relatively compact car with dimensions close to the Lotus Evija. The car’s aerodynamics is active, and some elements are mobile at certain speeds to reduce drag. At the rear, an integrated spoiler deploys automatically at speeds above 80 km/h.

This all-red example with leather interior shows only 60 km. And for good reason, it has never been registered by its current owner based in Dubai! The latter has not even removed the protective film from the central screen. The auctions will begin in a few days, but if you were expecting a crazy estimate, know that this car has been offered in China since the end of 2023 at a price of … 170,000 euros!
