The Volkswagen ID.3 GTX is getting closer to a GTI!
Volkswagen presented the ID.3 GTX Fire+Ice at the ID. Meeting in Locarno, Switzerland. All about sport!
Developed in collaboration with BOGNER, the luxury sports fashion brand based in Munich, this ID.3 is a tribute to the legendary Golf Fire and Ice, which enjoyed surprise success in the 1990s and has since reached cult status among fans. With an exclusive 3-layer paint featuring a pearlescent effect and a unique interior treatment, the car once again proves that electric can be fun and disruptive.

The union of fire and ice is found in the interior with a blazing red “FIRE” on the driver’s seat and a glacier blue passenger seat (“ICE”). The stainless steel accelerator pedals feature a special “FIRE+ICE” design instead of the known Play/Pause design from the ID family. You accelerate with the “FIRE” logo and brake with the “ICE” logo.

The ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE features Volkswagen’s most powerful electric motor to date, first seen in the ID.3 GTX Performance, with 240 kW (326 hp) and a maximum torque of 545 Nm. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is achieved in just 5.7 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 200 km/h. The electric energy is supplied by a 79 kWh lithium-ion battery, which can be charged at 185 kW fast charging stations. The battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in about 26 minutes. The combined WLTP range can reach 601 km.
