Range Rover subjects its first electric model to relentless testing in 50°C temperatures and up to 90% humidity.

The prototypes of the electric Range Rover are currently evolving in one of the most extreme climates in the world, where they are undergoing the most rigorous tests ever endured by a Range Rover. The model is entering a crucial phase of its development, with tests in the deserts of the United Arab Emirates, at temperatures exceeding 50°C. The vehicle’s performance and efficiency are rigorously tested to ensure that the entire propulsion system is reliable, even in extreme temperatures, and designed to guarantee longevity and optimal range.

This new model already promises remarkable efficiency, surpassing thermal performance records of all other Range Rovers on sand with unparalleled calmness and comfort in a vehicle that remains a luxury model. An even weight distribution and an advanced suspension system ensure top-tier control and stability in the sand. The electric systems deliver instant power, complemented once again by the Range Rover Electric’s intelligent torque management system, which distributes wheel slip management with a reduced reaction time of just 1 millisecond compared to 100 milliseconds for traditional combustion models. Electricity still has many surprises in store for us.

The testing continues to refine and shape the epitome of luxury infused with electricity before sales open in 2025.
