Two-seater cars are in fashion. After the Ami and the Topolino, here comes the Microlino, which closely resembles the Isetta sold by BMW in the 1950s.

The Swiss brand, better known for building scooters, has ventured into producing its first car. A city car, but much more powerful than the Ami from Citroën, or the Topolino from Fiat. A comparison that cannot really be made, mainly due to the price difference on one side, but also because of the significantly better performance on the Swiss side.

The features of the Microlino

There are three types of batteries available for the vehicle, which will automatically change the range. The 6 kWh Lithium-ion battery has a range of 91 km, the 10.5 kWh model offers 177 km, and the latest has a capacity of 230 km. The maximum torque of the car is 89 Nm, with a top speed of 90 km/h, suitable for fast lanes but not for highways.

In terms of dimensions, they are equal to 10 centimeters more than the Citroën Ami, with a length of 2.51 meters, a width of 1.47 meters, and a height of 1.50 meters.

High price for the city car

There are four different models available for sale, but all at increasingly higher prices. The “Urban” model is offered at 17,990 euros, the “Dolce” starting at 19,990 euros, 21,990 for the “Competizione” model, and finally the “Pioneering Series” priced at 22,990 euros. The price difference is mainly explained by the equipment, range, and the kWh of the battery.
