The new electric Twingo is unveiled

Thursday, November 6, 2025, Renault will unveil the Twingo E-Tech, its small 100% electric city car that promises to revive the brand’s fun spirit.

Renault enters a new era with its Twingo E-Tech. True to the French city car’s DNA, the small car retains its rounded lines and crescent-shaped headlights, a nod to the first generation launched in 1993. The sloping hood and compact silhouette showcase a style immediately recognizable, halfway between modernity and retro heritage. The interior focuses on simplicity and ergonomics, with a 10.1″ touchscreen, a 7″ digital cluster, and a sliding bench seat that promises practical urban modularity.

Technically, the Twingo E-Tech should be accessible. Built on the AmpR Small platform, already used for the R5, it would offer an 85 hp motor coupled with a 30 kWh LFP battery, providing a WLTP range of around 300 km. Renault aims for a starting price under €20,000, making electric affordable for the widest audience, while higher versions could reach €23,900. Production will be handled at the Revoz plant in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, with an annual target of 150,000 units.

Can you be and have been?

Even before the presentation, Renault has already launched the Twingo R Pass program, which allows registered users to benefit from priority access to orders and production, using a system already applied to the electric R4 and R5.

At the November 6 conference, the Twingo will be revealed in full: exterior and interior design, finishes, available colors, technical features, and commercial calendar. Renault promises a practical, fun, and connected city car, capable of appealing to an urban and young audience.
