Luka EV: Not launched yet, already restyled!
This page is translated from the original post "Luka EV : toujours pas lancée, déjà restylée !" in French.

In 2018, MW Motors unveiled its retro-styled electric car. Four years later, it has profoundly revised its design and some technical elements.
It’s been a long time since we’ve updated you on the Luka EV. After careful consideration, MW Motors has decided to overhaul its entire electric vehicle with a retro style, before starting production, scheduled for the first half of 2023.
Major changes
The new Luka EV will be equipped with a water-cooled motor, new steering system, new brakes, new batteries, a higher-capacity charger, and much more. The most significant modified part is the chassis. According to MW Motors, the new Luka EV chassis is “excellent.” It combines “perfect weight distribution (50/50), low center of gravity, superb road handling.” Also, MW Motors states that its Luka EV will feature top-tier electrification systems. The brand takes this announcement to reveal that the “high-voltage” vehicle will benefit from fast charging.

The interior has also undergone modifications. Unlike the version introduced in 2018, the Czech brand has added more space and comfort. For the driver, the dashboard has been improved, and new features and functions such as remote diagnostics are now available. The Luka EV can now accommodate larger seats. Even more surprisingly, the Luka EV features a new bodywork. The front section has a closed grille to reduce air resistance. At the rear, MW Motors widens the fenders to give the chassis a wider track and allow the mounting of 17-inch wheels.
The technical specifications remain the same
From a technical standpoint, the Luka EV retains the features introduced in 2018. The weight remains at 815 kg, thanks to its reasonable dimensions (4.05 m long and 1.62 m wide). It is powered by four 12.5 kW motors, for a total power of 50 kW or 66 hp. 0 to 100 km/h takes 9.6 seconds, and its 21.9 kWh battery provides an expected range of 300 km. That’s a mixed consumption of 6.8 kWh/100 km.
This redesign will not affect the initial release date of the Luka EV. MW Motors is finalizing the production data for the bodywork and the “GOLDEN” sample, which will be homologated in the first half of 2023. Afterward, the Luka EV will finally go on pre-sale.
