MG liquidates its electric stocks before Christmas
Resilience in the MG way means offering the best possible conditions today for what may not be available tomorrow.
MG has been hit by the European Union where it hurts the most, in its wallet. SAIC, the parent company of MG, may claim that the repercussions will be severe, but the British manufacturer is seeing its 100% electric horizon darken significantly. However, there is no question of giving up, and MG has responded by confirming its intention not to raise prices in France. Be careful, we are not talking about a few euros in fees but an additional tax of over 35%!
MG has therefore chosen to prioritize its customers over its profits. Or rather, the smart choice of compensating for this penalty. The punishment was so expected that all manufacturers had time to prepare for it. How? Simply by massively bringing vehicles onto European soil before the sanctions took effect. It’s child’s play, but one must have strong enough resources to stock thousands of unsold cars, which therefore bring in no cash at all. The manual for the perfect little merchant tells you that just-in-time selling is the best way to avoid bankruptcy. It’s so much easier to only build what you are sure you can sell.
MG Motor France has thus extended its commercial offers until December 21, 2024, for the MG4, ZS EV, MG5, Marvel R, and EHS which are offered in LLD with no down payment, with monthly rents of 249 euros for the MG4, 259 euros for the previous generation ZS EV, 189 euros for the MG5, and 439 euros for the Marvel R.
The other models, such as the MG3 Hybrid+ starting at 19,990 euros, or the MG ZS Hybrid+ at 22,990 euros – which represent the majority of MG Motor’s sales in France since their introduction – also see their prices frozen until the end of the year, even though they are not affected by the sanctions.
