The ID.Buzz offers more range for less money

Once is not customary, Volkswagen proves with the ID.Buzz that it is possible to give more for less.

Even if it’s easy to find faults, it’s really hard not to love the Volkswagen ID.Buzz. A modern Combi, it’s an invitation to travel in a cool way. But to travel cool, you need to be able to travel far!

While Volkswagen now offers a 100% electric combi in a long wheelbase version and in a sporty GTX variant, the “normal” ID.Buzz, or “classic,” if you prefer, benefits from a new 79 kWh battery. And as if that wasn’t enough, it also adjusts its pricing downward, starting at 52,850 euros, which still corresponds to a reduction of 6,600 euros compared to the previous model!

With a range extended to 475 kWh in the WLTP cycle, the time for short hops is over as it can finally embark on real journeys. Crossing France isn’t in the cards just yet, but a nice trip through Larzac will no longer pose problems. In the evening, you can recharge at fast DC charging stations with a power of up to 185 kW compared to 170 kW on previous versions. The 79 kWh battery can thus charge from 10 to 80 % in less than 30 minutes at maximum power.

For more comfort, the touchscreen control now measures 12.9 inches diagonally compared to 12.0 inches previously, and the control for temperature and sound volume is now done via a luminous sliding touch control. And to make your trip a source of enrichment, the IDA voice assistant comes standard with the ChatGPT artificial intelligence tool.
