After 6 laborious years to develop, finance, and produce its FF 91 2.0 EV, Faraday Future has delivered a few units in 2023.

In March 2023, the production of the luxury 100% electric FF 91 2.0 finally began. At an outrageous price of $310,000, this sumptuous sports sedan directly competes with Bentley and Rolls-Royce… Just that. Another 6 months had to pass before the first model was delivered to its unconscious or visionary owner. A funny little detail, the first delivery was scheduled for 2018!

The Faraday Future FF 91 2.0 itself is quite interesting with a three-motor powertrain, all-wheel drive, and a 142 kWh battery. It offers a top speed of 250 km/h and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds. Unfortunately, its outdated technology, developed over 6 years ago, gives it a catastrophic efficiency with a range of only 600 km.

According to Faraday Future’s latest financial report, in 2023 the manufacturer sold 4 units of the FF 91 2.0 and leased 6. With a total of 10 units on the road, the question is not whether the company can become profitable, but whether it has a chance of surviving!

The company’s net losses amount to $430 million compared to $600 million in 2022. We’ll let you calculate the number of cars that would need to be sold to break even. It’s a critical position, but the company claims it is adhering to a strict financial discipline, before rejoicing that it has 300 signed purchase orders for 2024. We’re still very far from the goal.
