The Acura RSX prototype was unveiled yesterday in California as part of Monterey Car Week.
Dressed in a vibrant “Propulsion Yellow Pearl”, this high-end electric SUV from Acura, Honda’s premium branch, combines bold design, performance, and advanced technology. It will be showcased in the coming days at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, and then at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Élégance.
The RSX is the first model designed on Honda’s new electric platform and the first EV produced at the Honda EV Hub in Ohio. It will be assembled on the same line as the Acura Integra, illustrating Honda’s flexibility in producing combustion, hybrid, and electric engines on a single line. The production version is expected in the second half of 2026.

This new model also introduces ASIMO OS, Acura’s homegrown operating system. It learns the driver’s behavior and preferences to provide a personalized experience while managing infotainment and advanced assistance systems. Over-the-air updates will allow for new features to be added over time.
Honda sends Acura to the forefront
In terms of performance, the RSX is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive, a double-wishbone front sports suspension, a low center of gravity, and Brembo brakes, promising a dynamic driving experience. It can also serve as a mobile power source, powering devices or providing backup power at home.

The prototype’s design reflects Acura’s aesthetic language with a fastback silhouette, sculpted lines, 21-inch wheels, and a bright rear light strip. The sporty and modern look emphasizes its “Precision Crafted Performance” DNA, already present in the Type S models and SUVs from the brand.
