Genesis unveiled its latest concept, the GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, this week.
This electric SUV, specifically designed by Genesis for rescue missions in challenging terrains and extreme weather conditions, reflects a technological expertise that one wouldn’t have expected from the Korean brand. Up to now, they’ve been more accustomed to sporty concepts, but a tracked vehicle… why not!

Inspired by support vehicles for special units, the GV60 MIV is based on the premium compact Genesis GV60 SUV. It features caterpillar tracks to confront the most hostile mountain environments, carbon fiber fender flares to protect the vehicle and pedestrians, as well as reinforced roof rails and modular attachment points at the rear to carry emergency equipment.
When will I see you again…
Inside, custom sports seats, medical equipment, as well as communication and emergency warning systems enable efficient interventions. The vehicle is also equipped with the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) system, which supplies auxiliary devices with energy while reducing noise pollution and environmental impact thanks to its fully electric powertrain.

This concept is Genesis’s third consecutive presentation at Davos, after the Genesis X concepts in 2023 and the X Snow Speedium in 2024. Since January 20th, the GV60 MIV has been on display at the AMERON Davos Swiss Mountain Resort, where it has enjoyed considerable popularity among visitors.

According to Luc Donckerwolke, Creative Director of Genesis: “The GV60 MIV concept embodies our ambition to combine comfort, safety, and innovation, true to our vision of progressive luxury.” The display of the GV60 MIV ends today, but whether it will have a lasting impact on the electric vehicle industry remains to be seen…
